  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • cup Panko bread crumbs
  • cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley

Crispy Breaded Chicken Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pound each chicken breast to an even ½-inch thickness.
  • Beat the eggs in one shallow dish, and in another, mix flour with salt and pepper.
  • Combine Panko bread crumbs, seasoned bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried basil in a third shallow dish.
  • First, dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  • Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, followed by the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure an even coating.
  • Generously spray both sides of the breaded chicken with cooking spray and arrange them on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 to 28 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For extra crispiness, lightly spray the chicken again halfway through baking. Always ensure chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internal temperature for food safety.
